To protect his factory and hospital from the chaotic public security in Angola, a Chinese businessman, Zhang, set up a security company that hires and trains locals into security guards. At present, the company has hundreds of employees, cruising for many Chinese-owned enterprises, which portraits itself as a “security kingdom” where Zhang gives orders like a king. However, under the gorgeous coat hides an anxious Zhang just like many other Chinese businessmen in Angola whose investment is tied down, whose life is under physical threat, and whose family gets alienated more and more. He drinks and parties night after night only to realize at his sober that he is the only citizen living in his kingdom.
