Culture Talk on the Radio' is a short documentary on contemporary art and at the same time a road movie about a lonely haulage driver who works for a company that specializes in the delivery of fruit and art. Initially he goes about his work lethargically but his mood brightens unexpectedly when he picks up a hitchhiker. They get closer to each other during the course of their road trip. For almost the whole time they listen to a radio program. This is a conversation between the well-known German artist René Schoemakers and the art critic Christoph Tannert who is the presenter of the culture and arts program. The conversation is real and was not scripted beforehand.
