Li Zhen graduated from Tsinghua University’s Academy of Arts & Design with a PhD in Art in 2008. He studied at the Centre for Transnational Art, Identity, and Nation (TrAIN) at the University of the Arts London as a joint doctoral student.
Li Zhen is currently Vice President and Associate Researcher at the Institute of Photography and Digital Arts in Chinese National Academy of Arts. His research focuses on the theory and practice of digital and new media arts.
His publications include: 12 Interviews: Curators, 12 Interviews: Artists, Digital Art: Exploring Digital Technology and Art Concepts (co-translation) , New Media in Art (co-translation), 20 Years of New Media Art Education in China (Volume 1 & 2) (co-editor).
2008年毕业于清华大学美术学院绘画系，获艺术学博士学位，曾作为“联合培养博士生”在英国伦敦艺术大学跨艺术、身份与国家研究中心（TrAIN）留学。现就职于中国艺术研究院摄影与数字艺术研究所，任副所长、副研究员。主要从事数字艺术和新媒体艺术的理论与实践研究。
曾出版《十二次访问：策展人》《十二次访问：艺术家》，《数字艺术：数字技术与艺术观念的探索》《艺术中的新媒体》（合译），《中国新媒体艺术教育20年（第一辑）》《中国新媒体艺术教育20年（第二辑）》（合编）等专著、译著和编著。
