Miguel Rozas Balboa
Miguel Rozas is a Chilean-Belgian visual artist .
Looking past the obvious, close observation and engagement of the subject is his process. The challenge is to see beyond the distraction of the conspicuous to capture its unique self. He seeks to inspire those who see his work to consider the world around them more carefully, to discover beauty and humanity in unusual places.
He studied visual arts in Santiago de Chile (ARCOS), Würzburg (FHWS) and Toulouse (ESAV). In 2013 he participated in the MA program of the Universität der Künste (UDK) in Berlin.
He currently lives between Berlin and Brussels. His research has essentially focused in video and photography portraits of social minorities and collaborating as a filmmaker and Camera Operator for several TV channels and a number of contemporary artists in South America, Europe and China.
